It is purpose-built for Bitcoin (BTC) mining and also supports other SHA-256-based cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Bitcoin SV (BSV). As part of Canaan‘s A15 series, the SE variant offers a balanced combination of hashrate and power efficiency for both individual deployments and large-scale mining farms.
The A15 SE is designed for professional and semi-professional mining environments. With a noise level of approximately 75 dB, it is comparable to a vacuum cleaner and requires a dedicated space such as a basement, garage, or mining facility. It is not designed for living spaces.
The A15 SE operates on a 220–277V AC input and draws 3,502–3,562W. It requires a dedicated high-voltage circuit and professional electrical installation. Standard 110V residential outlets are insufficient.
